Description

Adult resuscitation (cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR) is a life-saving measure involving chest compressions and artificial ventilation to maintain blood flow and oxygenation during cardiac arrest. It is a critical component of the "Chain of Survival" and can be performed as Basic Life Support (BLS) by laypersons or healthcare providers, or as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by trained medical professionals.
