Identify and describe common external ear conditions Congenital disorders, auricle trauma, perichondritis, foreign bodies, cerumen impaction, otitis externa, malignant otitis externa, otomycosis, and Ramsay Hunt syndrome. Explain causes, clinical features, and complications of these conditions Including infections, trauma, and developmental anomalies. Discuss diagnostic approaches and early identification techniques Emphasize the role of otoscopy and screening for hearing loss. Outline appropriate management and treatment strategies Medical and surgical interventions, including antibiotics, antifungals, and supportive care. Highlight special considerations in high-risk patients Diabetic and immunocompromised individuals. Promote preventive measures and patient education Avoid harmful practices like Q-tip use and encourage ear care.
