Description
very child facing a limiting-illness deserves care that goes beyond medical treatment; care that nurtures hope, supports emotional well-being, and promotes normal childhood experiences despite the challenges of illness. Integrating Child Life services into paediatric palliative care empowers healthcare teams to deliver compassionate, developmentally appropriate, and family-centered care that improves the quality of life for children and their loved ones.
Objectives
To discover how Child Life interventions can strengthen holistic care and enhance the experiences of children and families navigating life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses.

Elizabeth Kabuthi
Elizabeth Kabuthi is a medical social worker and Certified Child Life Specialist working in Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Shoe for Africa Children’s Hospital, as the program coordinator of the vibrant Sally Test Child Life Program (STCLP) in partnership with AMPATH.
