Description
During MDT meetings, patient clinical information, diagnostic investigations, pathology findings, imaging results, treatment options, and patient-specific factors are reviewed collectively. The team evaluates evidence-based treatment strategies and develops individualized care plans aimed at achieving optimal clinical outcomes. The MDT also facilitates coordination of care, promotes adherence to clinical guidelines, supports timely decision-making, and enhances communication among healthcare providers involved in the patient's treatment journey.
Objectives
To provide coordinated, patient-centered, and evidence-based cancer care through multidisciplinary collaboration, ensuring accurate diagnosis, appropriate staging, optimal treatment planning, and improved patient outcomes while enhancing quality, safety, and continuity of care across the oncology service.
